Dermaplane

Dermaplaning is a procedure in which the skin is manually exfoliated to remove dead skin build up and fine (peach fuzz) vellus hairs. It is different from shaving because the intent is to improve the appearance of the skin as opposed to the removal of hair. Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade held at a 45 degree angle to gently scrape the outer layer of the skin which consists of dull dead skin cells. It can be done as a standalone treatment or paired with a superficial medical grade chemical peel.
